The joint work of a group of Partners, led by the Academy of Art in Szczecin, started implementation of the “Transcultural Perspectives in Art and Art Education” project financed by the European Union under the Horizon 2020 program. This is the beginning of a great adventure and a huge challenge for the entire team of scientists, researchers, and artists from Poland, Italy, and Kenya.
The project is implemented by:
- Academy of Art in Szczecin (AASZ),
- University of Macerata (UNIMC),
- National Museum in Szczecin (MNS),
- Kenyatta University (KU),
- Pwani University (PUC),
- Beneath the Baobab (BtB).
The upcoming four years will be filled with intensive research and analysis, as well as numerous artistic events. We know that Art is a language, and thanks to it we will explore each other’s cultural traditions, and find mutual influences.
The first team of researchers from MNS and AASZ have already landed in Kenya to perform the first set of activities.
