On Friday, October 9, 2020 researchers from Kenyatta University visited National Museum in Szczecin, some of its buildings, and exhibitions: the Museum of Regional Traditions and the Golden Age of Pomerania (guided tour by Ms Klaudia Juzyszyn); Szczecin History Museum with Ms Małgorzata Peszko, and in the main museum’s building on Wały Chrobrego – Department of Non-European Cultures – African exhibitions realized by Ms Ewa Prądzyńska.
The Kenyatta University team was very interested in the turbulent history of Szczecin and of the rich heritage of this Polish-German region. They admired also the rich collection of African art held by the Non-European Cultures Dept. which, according to their own words, has truly captured the African soul.
