Professors Jaroslawa Jarmolowicz and Lukasz Skorny from the Art Academy in Szczecin visited project partners Pwani University in Kilifi and the Technical University of Mombasa (TUM) during their Kenyan sojourn in September 2022.
Together TPAAE Main Coordinator Prof. Aleksandra Lukaszewicz, the pair observed the ongoing implementation of courses in Art and Design, discussing progress with members of the TPAAE’s team and with the Quality Assurance office at Pwani. The diploma and bachelor’s degree programmes will be advertised for the upcoming schoolyear 2022/2023 and launched on the Kilifi campus in September 2023.
Meetings held at TUM included those with members of the TPAAE team and with artists selected to the third DUOS festival, which will take place in February-March 2023 in Mombasa and Kilifi. Topics for discussion included the involvement of the artists in TUM’s activities in the field of art, and preparations for the cooperation with Polish artists in DUOS festival,
Academy administrators also called on Vice-Chancellor Prof. Laila Abubakar, with whom they explored and the extension of cooperation between their institutions within the Erasmus+ Agreement for international exchange.
