Dr. Nancy Ngowa, PhD

Senior Lecturer and Chair of the Dept of Languages, Linguistics & Literature, Pwani University.

I am a Linguist by profession, specialising in Kiswahili and other Bantu Languages. I have worked in Pwani University for the last 10 years (2010 to present). I am also a Principal Examiner for Kiswahili in the International Baccalaureate Organization, based in Cardiff (UK). I have done translation tasks for organizations such KEMFRI, CORDIO, Kituo cha Sheria, and USAID, among others. I have also done consultancy with BTL, developing Mijikenda mother tongue language books. I also conduct workshops in teaching Kiswahili as a Foreign Language.
