Marlena Chybowska-Butler – a curator and organizer of artistic events and editor of publications at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Department of the National Museum in Szczecin, Poland.

Within the TPAAE project – The Duos Festival, responsible for realization of Kenyan-Polish exhibitions, meetings and presentations of contemporary Kenyan art in Szczecin, Poland. Education: MA Sociology; MA Art History; postgraduate study in Museology.

Professional experience: Since 1998, involved in the Mare Articum (Sea of Art) program focused on contemporary visual art, curating and organizing dozens of exhibitions and international projects, including the Baltic Contemporary Art Biennial in Szczecin (1995–2015). From 2009–2017, co-founder and President of Mare Articum Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to deeper European integration through the promotion of international activities and exchanges in the field of visual art. Produced thematic exhibitions, conferences, educational programs, and publications for The Foundation, drawing on a broad range of resources, networks, and alliances. Recent curatorial collaborations within the Mare Articum program and the National Museum in Szczecin include joint productions with Walloon Center for Contemporary Art in Liege, Belgium, and Bornholms Kunstmuseum, Denmark.
