In the first week of August the University of Macerata (Italy) started a period of mobility in Nairobi to implement along with colleagues from Kenyatta University an educational research line named “Art Degree Zero” focusing to explore educational art opportunities on contexts of socio-cultural distress (slums, children and youth daily care centers and socio-educative services). The first action took place on August 7th at “Kivuli Centre – Koinonia Community” where the team (Flavia Stara, Rosita Deluigi and Giuseppe Capriotti) met the local educational staff and together conducted a cooperative learning workshop aiming at artistic literacy using drownings and paintings.
