The TPAAE coordinators, researchers as well as all artists involved in the project, stand in solidarity with women and girls in Kabul and pay a warm tribute to the work by Shamsia Hassani, first female graffiti artist in Afghanistan (https://www.shamsiahassani.net/). TPAAE joins the international community in expressing concern about the impacts of a return to Taliban rule on women and girls in Afghanistan. Over recent decades significant progress supported the achievement of women and girls rights in this country to the benefit of individuals, families, and communities. This hard-won freedom can’t be lost and should belong to women and girls anywhere in the world.
