TPAAE researchers from Pwani University took up their spring secondment at the Università di Macerata (UNIMC) in April 2022. Stephen Muoki Joshua, Nancy Ngowa, Fredrick Ndegwa and Michael Maua comprised the team. Members were joined by Pwani colleagues Florence Mtuweta and Stephen Kapinde, both of whom were on an Erasmus KA107 mobility.

The team attended a workshop on “Welcoming Refugees: International Strategies for Local Actions” at Corso Cairolli in the Macerata city center. A delegation from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology also participated.
UNMIC Prof. Flavia Stara led a workshop on the Creative Process in Tourism. Team members also discussed the TPAAE action plan with their UNIMC colleagues. An active first week closed with an international conference entitled on Artistic, Religious, Intercultural Perspectives: A Dialogue Between Italy and Kenya.
